First…
There are numerous pathways in the childbirth journey; from the first positive pregnancy test to the weeks at home postpartum. I started Birth with Meaning to bridge those pathways together and bring meaning to the entire experience. With billions of people born on this earth since the beginning of time, birth is nothing new. Yet, our postmodern culture can get in the way of the experience. In a 2025 study, 16% of women had a poor or negative experience when looking back on their childbirth journey. This is unfortunate. As a certified childbirth educator, my goal is to empower families by providing clear, compassionate education from pregnancy to postpartum. As a certified childbirth doula, my goal is to offer grounded, nonjudgmental support throughout the birth itself. Every woman should feel seen, heard, and confident in her ability to bring new life into the world. In the end, if we’ve taken time to consider the pathways before us throughout the journey, there will be meaning… and no regrets.

In-Person Childbirth Courses
LAMAZE INTERNATIONAL CHILDBIRTH COURSE
If you would like a thorough education on childbirth or if you would rather me teach you in your home instead of serving as your doula, I offer a standalone childbirth course, which includes up to 180 minutes of private teaching in your home using Lamaze International’s evidence based education along with my own personal curriculum and tools. My childbirth course covers 5 P’s toward preparation and can be spread out over one or two sessions depending on preference. I can also teach this course alongside my service to you as a doula for the most comprehensive education. Knowledge is power!
Before the course, you will receive an email with a video collective to watch and example birth plans that can be edited to fit your needs. During the course, you will receive a one-on-one education including demonstration and video, fun interactive games and visuals, my 40 page bound curriculum, as well as Penny Simkin’s Roadmap to Labor and an additional 24 page ebook from Lamaze International on the Six Healthy Birth Practices; all resources you get to keep! After completion of the course, I will be available by phone for additional questions, and if possible, can be reached by phone during the birth.
What I bring into our time together!
DIY Digital Childbirth Course
If you are interested in ONLY my personal curriculum and do not need me to privately teach you in your home, I offer my course in digital format for you to read through in your own time. My childbirth course covers 5 P’s of childbirth education:
Pathways to Choose
Process of Labor & Birth
Pain & Coping
Positioning
Postpartum & Breastfeeding
It also includes my own spontaneous labor roadmap and induction roadmap. The entire curriculum is 40 pages and contains 95% of my own work, research, and visuals following years of being a doula. Upon purchase of this curriculum, you will receive a link in your email to download the course and save it to your own computer for forever access. The link will be available for 24 hours after purchase. If there are questions that come up, you are always welcome to contact me!
Below is a video with a quick flip through of the curriculum. The only pages you will not receive in digital format is Penny Simkin’s Road Map of Labor and the Lamaze International’s Six Healthy Birth Practices ebook.
